I know that in this blog I post a lot of things that cost a lot of money, more than even I have. I want to take a moment to step back and talk for just a moment about poverty. Some people obviously manipulate the system, like the RV that drops people off on specific corners in Greensboro every morning to beg like they’re homeless when they live in a commune and have a decent RV. However, poor is seeing the people in the metro with dirty feet, the same cup every single day, the same clothes on, the same sign week after week. I am so thankful I have never had to experience it, but it is humbling to read what it is like first-hand. Please take a moment to read this article published by someone who does know. It will make you realize some of the things you didn’t know. It’s a beautiful essay, and I 100% believe it is art.
