I then took a stroll down Madison Avenue from 60th to 72nd, ending at the Polo Mansion. This is where I discovered RRL, a line of Ralph Lauren that I really enjoyed. My impression of the Ralph Lauren Mansion was not so perfect. I overheard employees bickering about how they answered the phone to one another in condescending ways, I found employees unable to determine whether they carried a particular product in question (collar pin– even though it was used on half a dozen mannequins), and it seemed the store had 2:1 employee to customer ratio the entire time I visited. However, I did really enjoy this pair of corduroys with suspenders, not to mention their vintage watch and sunglass collection. Check it out next time you’re in the big apple, it’s still worth it.
