Collaborations are the new ‘it’

From southern prep gear’s State Traditions (posers of Volunteer Traditions) joint tie effort with Southern Proper (women who make ties?) to Nike and Levi’s, Van’s and Skateboarder Magazine, APC and Nike, Church’s and Adidas,  Louis Vuitton and Muhammad Ali/Yayoi Kusam (Mrs. Polk-A-Dot)… it seems that every company in every area of the pyramid of fashion (both in and out of luxury) are seeking collaborative efforts to boost awareness, spread overlaps of brand environments, and ultimately boost sales.  


The problem:  half of them don’t make sense.
